Thanks for your post. If the problems you described with Presario are broadly based, then I am quite disheartened--not good for CPQ's image regardless of the different channel distributing model as a potential explanation. My own (previous) experience with Presarios have been quite favorable; one of the currrent PC in my home is a PResario 8710, purchased 17 months ago--it has been running without a hitch. I would be interested in what Compaq has to say when you call their service department. Ibexx
