This is very encouraging. Extremely good news. If Dell's current European sales are limited to Britain and Ireland, there is huge market share to be grabbed in Germany, France, Italy, Benelux, etc.

Yaacov, I'm not sure you understand the difference between your anecdotal research & quantitative research but let me try to explain it to you.

Anecdotal research is you in your travels throughout continental Europe not seeing any DELL pc's anywhere and by extension proving conclusively that DELL doesn't sell any pc's in Europe.

Quantitative research is IDC & Dataquest both reporting that DELL's Q4 European sales were approximately 400,000 units. This translates to 5.8% market share in Europe.

I'm sure you won't mind if I believe the quantitative research instead.

Oh, by the way, can you take Najib the moron with you back to the Compaq thread.
