Just an off the wall idea, but HP has always been considered a very good place to work, very people oriented, hardly ever any layoffs, etc. OTOH, Intel is very demanding on their people. Their attrition is not bad because of the benefits, like stock options and stock purchase plans...can be very lucrative because of Intel's stock performance in the past. Now, maybe if HP had management more like Intel, who knows? HP does have excellent products, like you say. So does Intel.

is not going anywhere!
