Bill,
I think that already exists in most states.
They don't have the resources that the FDA and the CDC has.

In fact, most of the time, they just review and echo the guidelines from the respective federal agencies.

Here in Santa Clara County, our public health director, Dr. Sara Cody, is the one who makes health policies for our county.

We were one of the first counties in the entire nation to shut down as a result of the COVID pandemic. And that was at her direction.

Where do you think she got the data to make the decision? From the oh-so-plentiful resources of our feckless county public health departments? From the morons in Sacramento?

Of course not. She relied upon federal agencies for a lot of her work.

The same agencies that you believe have become overly politicized and untrustworthy as a result.
