Bill...Thanks for the wire. What a great release!!! Ira just increased his credibility ten-fold with this release. He laid his reputation on the line with the .11 cents and I admire that. This release wasn't necessary , but, he wanted to keep the investment public abreast on what was transpiring. Good job Ira.

Bill, Thank You for posting the News.

Okay, lets break it down.

I like the fact FAMH is taking the initiative to establish firm reporting dates from this point on. The reporting date being pushed back to March 1st makes sense with me. The reasons Ira expressed in the release are reasonable. The KEY here is the intent in becoming a fully reporting company.

Now, I do not understand the intent of the second paragraph in that on February 23rd at 10:00 am EST an announcement will be made to breakdown the numbers, but I am VERY pleased to read that .11 in print. Afterall, isnt that the information we are now expecting on the 1st of March? And, I think the fact that Ira has now told the world in print to expect .11 per share for 1997 should quiet the skeptics on this thread. Of course, we still dont know HOW they arrived at this number.

And, just a side note. I am not sure if Ira intended to use the word "arises" or "arrives" in the 3rd paragraph of said news release but it makes for better grammar if the word intended was "arrives." If, that was the intent, I suggest FAMH proofreads their release(s) before sending them off to PR.

In summary, I am pleased for the news release. I am pleased FAMH has now stated IN WRITING an EPS of .11 per share, and I give FAMH an overall grade of "B" for a job nicely done.

Anyone -

What am I missing here? I don't understand the following statement...

"An announcement will be made Monday, February 23 at 10:00 A.M. EST, as far as the breakdown on how the corporate hierarchy of Firamada arises at its profit numbers of approximately $.11 per share for 1997."

"arises" - typo? On such a short release?

Now I want to find out who claimed press release on Friday, then on Monday - well, ok - Tuesday due to holiday. Nothing. Then this? Were these dates created by this thread or were they given out by FAMH?

Why does FAMH feel that they need to explain how they arrived at the EPS? Don't get me wrong - I give the company and Ira the benefit of the doubt, it's this thread that I question - Though I must admit that with the advent of Jane's candy things have gotten better here. What's in that candy?

>>FIRAMADA ANNOUNCES DATE OF EARNINGS RELEASE

NEW YORK, FEB. 17/PRNewsire/-- It was reported today that Firamada would announce its corporate earnings for 1997 on its newly established announcement date of March 1, 1998 and every March there after.<<

OK all you FAMH cheerleaders. I take no pleasure in telling you I told you so. First its two weeks ago, then last Friday, then today and now March 1st. Who can believe a word they say? They make it up as they go along. What will be the new excuse on March lst?
