Just do what works for you. The time of day doesn't really matter for D as its a fat soluble vitamin and takes months to build up to desired levels - if low. I take mine every morning with breakfast. I'm not at all worried about eating a big meal or eating fat with it. As well, when I was trying intermittent fasting I didn't eat until noon, and took my D3 then. I was taking 10000 per day for at least a couple years. My D3 level came in at 241 last time it was checked. Since that is too high I have cut back to 5000 per day and I am getting tested in March to see where it's at. My point for telling you my level is that its obvious that whether I was taking it in the morning or at noon, it was definitely getting absorbed into my system.

I took a 5K D yesterday with an early evening dinner, but I had a terrible time trying to stay asleep. I'd drift off then awaken in an hour. Went on till near dawn. Yecch.

I'm curious now to see if my bedtime D3 affects my sleep. Will experiment.
