Military Refuses to Participate in Trump’s Parade, Citing Bone Spurs

By Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON ( The Borowitz Report)—The Pentagon has turned down Donald J. Trump’s request for a grand military parade in Washington, D.C., citing a sudden outbreak of bone spurs that would prevent men and women in uniform from participating.

Harland Dorrinson, a Pentagon spokesman, said that, within an hour of Trump’s request, more than a hundred thousand military personnel complained that they were suffering from acute cases of bone spurs that would make marching in such a parade a painful ordeal.

To dodge war in Vietnam, Trump was given 'bone spurs' as a favour, doctor's daughters say

In return the doctor received favours from Trump's father Fred, the owner of the building in which Larry Braunstein's practice operated

PRESIDENT TRUMPS " BONE SPURS"

By Christopher C.L. Custer, MD

President Trump history of lying is legendary. His record of lying is unsurpassed by any other politician. His lies are a symptom of his dysfunctional presidency. By some estimates, President Trump has told over 10,000 lies since his inauguration (1). His lies don’t just cause damage of his reputation. In my opinion his lies affect all citizens, in particlarly an arm of our govrnment-our military- people who volunteer every day to make the ultimate sacrifice. He is tarnishing their spirit of patriotism and sense of what they are willing to sacrifice their lives for.

I am referring to President Trump’s lie about why he was deferred so he did not have to serve in the military. Attempting to show how and why President Trump, I will describe a multitude of inconsistencies in his explaination. His story is inconsistent with what his then private lawyer, Michael Cohen, testified as the truth what President Trump told him (2). He refused to surrender his medical records and said to Cohen," Do you think I’m stupid, I’m not going to Vietnam". The sisters of the doctor who "treated" President Trump, Dr. Braunstein, claimed the letter he wrote for the President about his "bone spur, was done as a favor for Fred Trump. President Trumps father had quickly responded to Dr. Baunstein’s complaints about his rental(3). Dr Baunstein was returning the favor. This claim is without written collaberative evidence, so take it for what it’s worth. So in the last analysis, without President Trumps medical records, the presence of his bone spurs are his word against the mine. However, this claim establishes motive for why the letter was written. But the best evidence for Presidents Trump’s lack of bone spurs are his own words and actions. His explainations about his bone spurs are not convincing at all. His shady deficient memory, diversionary tactics, and outright denial cause his story to be suspicious and not hold water. His own actions belie his claim. First, he couldn’t remember which foot was affected (latter he changed his story, saying he had bone spurs on both heels), secondly he said his bone spurs was a temporary minor malady. This comment doesn’t make any sense. Bone spurs don’t dissapear on their own, surgery is the only definitive treatment, other treatments treat only the symptoms -not the aflliction. Only the symptoms of a bone spur can dissapear. If this is such a minor malady (4), we can saftely assume he didn’t complain about it to his doctor. All doctors try to elicit a chief complaint from their patient to start search for the diagnosis. Without a chief complaint there cannot be a diagnosis. An additional fact is why didn’t he remember his treatment for for bone spurs. The treatment is something he would remember. To use NSAIDs, specific exercises, and the use of orthotics as conservitive therapy are not easily forgotten. The only way I can explain these things is to use Ocam’s Razor, the best explaination is usually the most simplistic one. To me the most simplistic explaination is President Trump bone spur did not exist. If this is true, in my estimation, President Trump is a liar of the highest order.

I do not believe that TFG had bone spurs at 22 years of age, and neither does he. Also, I do not have any animosity toward him for not wanting to serve in the Armed Forces. What I do have utter contempt for him for, is that he lied to avoid service than to do what Muhammad Ali did. Which was to stand proudly and state his convictions why he was unwilling to serve and be willing to face the consequences of his convictions. That is what adults do. Stand by your principles and willing face whatever comes your way as a result.
