"Like you pointed out, the globe is 1.5 degrees warmer than before the Industrial Revolution.

And the environment is just fine."

Is it?
Extreme Temperature Diary- Monday February 5th, 2024/ Main Topic: Ferocious Fires Erupt in Chile Linked to Heatwaves Exacerbated by Climate Change – Guy On Climate
Dear Diary. From Five to three years ago, California was being ravaged by wildfires leading to much loss of life. The Camp fire was one such episode killing 85 people in 2018: Camp Fire (2018) – Wikipedia. Last year, great tragedy struck Greece from wildfires in which 28 people were killed: 2023 Greece wildfires – Wikipedia. That same year we had wildfires wiping out an entire community in Hawaii: 2023 Hawaii wildfires – Wikipedia. All of these conflagrations had record heat and drought before the events as common denominators, exacerbated by climate change.

To start off 2024 it is Chile’s turn in which over 100 people have perished so far.
Practically every day for the last year Maximiliano Herrera has reported record temperatures from South America, which wouldn’t be roasting nearly as much if it wasn’t for our carbon pollution. I’ve been listing these in my “ET” section just below each daily main topic. Here are some reports just from the last couple of days:

As I keep stating, drought and record heat go hand in hand and do sometimes more than not culminate in large wildfires before a weather pattern change puts them out. Most recently California went from what has been described as a 1000-year drought to devastating flooding rain that is going on this day. “Weather whiplash” is getting worse dud to climate change.

"like I was taught in elementary school, the climate has, is, and always will change."
It's too bad they didn't teach you than humans can change the climate. I learned that in 8th Grade, 1957.

I'm really disappointed in you.

You don't seem to understand how important the temp rise on the Earth's environment is.

It drives increasing higher sea levels, and speeds up the hydrological cycle.

And most importantly climate change on Earth.

Human activities are driving those rising temps in the atmosphere and the oceans.

Increasing greenhouse gasses as a result of humanity burning fossil fuels on a large scale since the beginning of the industrial revolution.

Very simple atmospheric physics.
