RE: GTN -14% only news I see is this

Gray TV closes Scottsbluff station, announces sale

The Scottsbluff's sole remaining news station closed quietly last week. Owner Gray Television closed the station in a move that also coincides with the sale of the station and others

Made a 50% add to my small position at $7.50/share and more 5% lower.

RE: GTN +4.9% look's like bottom is in from that selling yesterday

I only got a 50% add if that was the bottom but will continue to add at/below $7.50. Lots of news by DIS & FOX on their new streaming platform. Still not cheap. I do think GTN is well positioned in that space compared to other players.

Re: GTN

Gray Television Statement on Newly Announced Streaming Service

ATLANTA, Feb. 07, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gray Television, Inc. (“Gray”) (NYSE: GTN) issued the following statement today in response to numerous...

That deal may actually play into Gray's expansion plan into streaming. The DIS & FOX deal initially may not add any significant revenues to Gray, it may/could get more viewers/subscribers to their own platform and/or allow Gray to monetize their local sports broadcasts. It's more about the general move to streaming.

There is/was some mention by the sports bettors that there is a lag in the sport streaming services that can impact their betting and they prefer 'Live' real time broadcast. Not sure GTN can fix that lag using their own platform.
