I have a very good idea. I had to hire my wife thru a leasing agency in order to get her into a pool. It still costs me $2,400 mo. to keep her on at minimum wage just to be able to afford her medical.

Neither Kaiser nor HMSA will insure her as a self employed worker at a rate less than $5,000 per month with high deductibles due to pre-existing conditions.

I went all the way to the assistant Hawaii State Insurance Commissioner about this and he laughed. He told me his boss lied when interviewed on our local NPR station.
