Well put. The only problem are those that react by increasing the "wave" in amplitude in the wrong direction.

To those seasoned veterans, we welcome this type of "buy when they sell" mentality. To those who have not learned how to do this, Spots is right, the only way to succeed is through a class action. Classes of this nature are rare and seldom, if formed, successful.

So the best thing anyone can do is learn to spot the opportunity and do not allow your emotions to guide you.

My personal view is that the regulation is the worst way to go about it and being informed about how these things work, and potentially taking advantage of it as investors, is the best way to regulate it.

I don't want to regulate any more than you do. However, I would like to see the buys and sells leading up to and following down or upgrades. Ideally, it would be automatic and be readily available at www.exposure.com.

I don't think the analyst community fully understands the power of these public forums to influence opinion. Perhaps not stock movements --- we're too few for that --- but certainly an enlightened opinion on what appears to be questionable practices. There may be no law against downgrading a stock and rebuying at the bottom, but if the analyst had favorable knowledge beforehand, he's acted unethically. Litigate? Heck, no. I'll merely mumble a few words about pond scum and take the opportunity to add to my position.

Just another take.
