Skeeter, this is what I mean when I say back up your statement: This is from 97Q3, and I quote: ..................................................... Selling, General and Administrative Expenses Selling, general and administrative expenses for the third quarter and first nine months of 1997 increased approximately 61.7% and 38.2%, respectively, over the comparable periods of 1996. As a percentage of sales, in the third quarter and first nine months of 1997, these expenses increased to approximately 14.6% and 13.2%, respectively, from 11.3% and 11.8% in the comparable periods of 1996. These increases are primarily the result of increases in marketing communications and personnel expenses, the inclusion of the operating expenses of Advanced Logic Research, Inc. (ALR) which was acquired during the third quarter of 1997, the impact of the United Parcel Service (UPS) strike on freight costs, and other increases in credit card and telephone expenses/ ....................................................... If SGA went up the quarter before because of the merger, wouldn't it make good business sense to assume that a proper management might digest and reduce expenses as ALR is assimilated. ???(that means brought together) Are you pointing to a discrepancy of an average quarter or the change from this last quarter, to this.
