Perplexity (FWIW) Qualcomm's exclusivity agreement with Microsoft to provide CPUs for Windows on Arm PCs is rumored to expire in 2024. Arm CEO Rene Haas confirmed this in an interview with Stratechery, stating, "I think it’s really well-documented that the exclusivity that Qualcomm has with Windows times out, I think, this year" . This means that other chipset makers, such as NVIDIA, AMD, and MediaTek, may have the opportunity to enter the market and offer more options to customers . Reuters also reported that both NVIDIA and AMD are preparing to launch Arm processors for Windows PCs when Qualcomm's agreement expires in 20242 .
