What the purveyors of fossil fuels want is the for the price of the their product to be really really high.

Unless there is an alternative cheaply available, ferget it.

Both you and your family of wharf rats will be subsiding on what the oil purveyors push your way... and that won't be much.

The Saudis will probably pass along a bucket of sand for you to eat.

Get the alternative in place, then turn off the oil tap.

Then they wither on the vine or learn to play ball.
