No, I've been married thirty-five years and therefore have
perfected the art of arguing to no purpose! <ggg>

I just have to quote Lewis Carroll with that lead-in.
I'm afraid it's from memory and not too accurate, but
the gist is there (This is Old Father William):

"You've no teeth," said his son, "and to eat in your staid,
I could have nothing tougher than suet.
Yet you finish the goose, both the bones and the beak;
Pray how do you manage to do it?"

"In my youth," said his father, "I took to the law
And I argued each case with my wife.
And the muscular strength which that gave to my jaw
has lasted the rest of my life."
