Just to add to LadyAndy's post.

It has been used in Canada for a year or so and is most
effective when used early on not in the later stages of OA.

There is a doctor having good luck injecting it
in the ***** hip ***** in North Vancouver I think.

That would be a major development if it worked.

I had my third shot of Synvisc yesterday.

I noticed improvement the first week.

It's far better than any cortisone shot (which I had to give up because of kidney stones.)

At Christmas, I could not stand still for more than
30 secs due to pain, and used a cane when I left the house.
I now go to the Mall without a cane.

I can climb steps (the knees flex without pain),
but are weak due to months of not being used.

I hope it lasts the predicted six months!!!
