You're right, Mike, about the Chow, it depends on how they are treated. I got Princess when she was eight weeks old and she spends all of her time inside, except for walks and other outings. She sleeps between the bed and the door all night, I would pity the poor burglar who dared to enter. She had been born outside and not allowed to enter the house, when I got her. When I brought her home, she wouldn't cross over the threshold, it took awhile to coax her in and let her know it was okay to come inside, now I cannot get her out.hehehe She was the cutest puppy, just one big ball of fur. She's a wonderful dog and I was only kidding about the mailman, he brings her dog biscuits to sweeten her up. She is very territorial and protective of her home and family and I am very careful with small children around her, especially now that she is getting older. And she looks so cute and cuddly, all the kids want to hug and touch her, she very royally tolerates their affection for a few seconds and then just moves away, ignoring them. She is really great at ignoring things she doesn't like. She very rarely licks, but sometimes out of the blue, she will give you a big, wet, quick slobber with her black/blue tongue on the chin, so quick in fact that you wonder if it really happened. She has many adorable qualities, that is only apparent after living with her for awhile. Oh, I get all fuzzy just talking about her, have to go give her a hug. 0;-}
