Bill J. Cpq get's AMD chips because Cpq in deference to Cybermax represents much larger market share percentage potential to AMD. At this point all AMD can do untill it solves it's problems is to hope to hang in and give away what ever chips it can make. If you were faced with giving your chips away who would you give them to? Make a short list and post it. The two companies that could help you sell the most chips when you managed to return to volume porduction. Assuming they continue to support you throught your problem period. tis is the second time cpq has stuck it's neck out for AMD. Although for Cpq this time it was a no brainer if it is tur AMD is selling to Cpq at 50% discounts during a period of time when Intel has no suitable offering for the sub-1000 catagory...The truth is out there and AMD can't hide from it. My guess is Cpq will move to Intel when the new Intel offering is ready by July....assuming AMD can get there act together by then or show some comfirmable signs of improvemnt by then otherwise they risk loosing Cpq again.
