<< Wonder why they didn't do a "dotcom" and just issue more equity?>>

As I noted they already issued more equity in December of 2023. They had an offering of common stock on December 5th and issued 2.4MM shares at a price of $262 a share where they received $582.8MM for this offering.

I don't blame SMCI either, strike while the iron is hot. Was more curious if Sisyphus held on giving how fast this thing rose and then the equity offering + convertibles were some red flags especially given how much the share price has risen in a short time.

Either way a nice win for Sisyphus while he held with somewhere in the 600% gain range. A nice Peter Lynch multi-bagger stock.

LOL SMCI- why bother issuing debt (convertible) when you could just sell stock at nosebleed valuations …
