I think you were being somewhat facetious but you are not entirely wrong.

As you know I have the new Samsung S24 Ultra which uses AI to translate foreign languages.

Remember Star Trek with the universal translator?

We are almost there.

Every Spanish teacher I took Spanish from (there were 3) are now out of work. Okay, they were retired anyway. My point is we no longer need to learn a foreign language. My phone already knows it.

The new universal translator just put the every foreign language teacher out of work.

Close down the foreign language department. Close down Babbel. Close down Rosetta Stone.

All I need is 1 or 2 shares of NVDA to buy myself a new phone to do everything I need to understand a foreign language speaker.

Yep, that's AI for you, and while it does not translate everything perfectly, neither does anyone else.

The great news is we no longer have to pay to learn a foreign language! Too bad all those in the Spanish, French, German, Chinese, etc department just lost their jobs.
