CS, I am still short AMZN but have given up tring to make short term predictions on it. Long term, it goes down. As for CYMI, when I see a "shareholder rights" deal or a floorless convertible announcement, I short first and ask questions later, usually with no research beyond reading the news release. But then I do my research and decide whether to increase the position or bail out. This is a very safe strategy as 99% of the time stocks fall after either of these announcements, even if I bail out it is usually with a small profit.

{I have been known to short a floorless convertible without even knowing the company name, only the symbol} I am already ahead in the CYMI position and just starting to do my research, no opinion yet.
