More info on the Sony Drive

zdnet.com

Apparently the EZ-230 is a goner. I guess Syquest should give up on this removable and concentrate on the larger removable drives. It is disappointing that they have not announced the Quest's shipping date.

I suspect in a few years, the Sony HiFD will become the new standard relegating Zip's to a large secondary installed base. The 3.5 floppy will never die!

Rocky, why can't you keep your Iomega rantings on the Iomega thread, and discuss Syquest things over here. That's why "threads" were invented, now you know.

And if you're going to keep on trashing Iomega over here, at least try ONCE to get your facts straight, for example:

" Even though a 2 year long-term holder of IOM stock is not showing a profit today, Iomega remains a great investment." I bought my shares of Iomega two years ago this week, and I have approximately a 128% profit (as of 10:00 EST). You are (as always) just plain wrong.

Believe it or not, some people here actually are more interested in how Syquest is doing/will do than Iomega. Probably most of them. So please keep your "contributions" on topic.

BTW, looks like you are never going to get your SparQ or Quest drive for your Mac. Perhaps you should do some ranting with Syquest management (or buy a Jaz).
