Man the sour grapes coming from this thread over this latest PR is unbelievable. Ben Crenshaw said he had a conflict and couldn't make the first date but still supports the series and wants to participate. Why isn't that a good enough explanation for anyone? Why don't people take his word for it? He isn't a liar and neither is the company. They both thought he was going to be able to play March 30th.

Nowhere have I read from ACCY that this was supposed to be a big-name, big-money tournament, at least not to start. They never said anything about Norman or Woods or any big name PGA stars. They said they would try to get "former" major winners to head the teams. That includes a lot of senior tour players, many of which many people never heard of because they haven't followed golf very long. But that doesn't diminish their name or accomplishment. How many majors have you guys won?

So what if Ben can't make this first go. If they get one or two other names from the senior tour and fill out the field with their picks they should have no problem getting a few more sponsors and get this off the ground. Who said they had to make big bucks on the first date? Who said they even had to break even? How many penny stock companies are profitable right out the gate?

And if by some unfortunate means the concept collapses, well it's only 32 cents a share. That means the whole thing only has a total value of about $5.3 million. And 63% of the shares cannot be sold. Their isn't any big money in this yet.

It's clear to me that many bought into this thinking they could make a quick killing on a runup to the first event and then unload it, with no real interest in the concept or the company. They're just pissed that they might not get that big easy payoff. If anybody doesn't like what's going on, they should just sell and write it off as a mistake.

Just MHO.
