I was an engineer for over 25 years Eric. When is comes to dealing with problems of any kind, including accidents, the root cause(s) need to be uncovered and discussed in an honest and open manner. Your not a pilot. Yep, That's why we do accident investigations after accidents to hopefully learn from them. And we learned a lot from this accident. Which lead to a redesign of the pitiot and static system. And the flight management system including the HSI. If you don't know up from down your screwed at night with no reference to horizontal. (The horizon) The pilots drove the aircraft into a deep stall and didn't realize it. Period
