Growth and Income is really a hard sector because of all the funds that are close to it or are deceptively named growth and income. I personally would just stick to Blue Chip Funds for this catagory instead of worrying about G & I. Price Blue Chip is an excellent fund. As far as funds named growth and income, Janus isn't all that bad (I know I said I didn't like it, but not to many G & I are all that good), Baron G & I is good (even though it takes more risk), and Weiss Peck Greer is also good. These are all no load since I personally think buying a load is like throwing your money away.

Benham Income & Growth.

Check out the results for the past few years. Real good for it's category. And very consistent.

Good luck.
