Apple shifted some of the car people to AI.

Have they missed the boat here on car screen interactivity? I haven't paid attention to which car have Apple software.

I don't think spending billions of dollars and all that time was worth it just to test the iPhone with a car.

As I wrote in my previous post, Apple already has CarPlay on the market and it has been around for about as long as Apple's now dead car project.

An Apple car never made much sense to me given the complexities of the automobile market. You're right, it is too far away from Apple's core competencies. I wish they had killed it sooner, but I'm glad they finally did.

AAPL was down less on Wednesday after the news came out than many other tech stocks. I doubt any serious analysts counted any car revenues in their forecasts given the lack of info about what they were working on or any solid timetable for a product release. Some will probably consider it good news since Apple won't be wasting anymore money or talent on it.
