Gene,

Clipping is not limited to the "pink sheet" markets. It happens in all markets. Particularly in those markets controlled by market makers, specialists, and pit traders.

Clearly, the "open outcry system" is inefficient and subject to abuse.

Electronic markets exist today and they are much better for the small investor.

Thin markets are severely subject to abuse in the present system.

I believe that a smart guy with fast real time data can beat them at their game, however. If you watch the markets, you will see that there is an information lag with the outdated markets and that could be taken advantage of, but not 15 minutes delayed.

He would need very good execution to have any advantage, however, and I am still looking for that. The Mini S&P's are an exception. They are traded electronically and very fast. Speaking of the S&P's, looks very toppy!!

Poor Trader, but not much longer, Jack!!
