So what? It works, it cheaper, and it's much better than an EV of similar size like the Chevy Bolt.

Not on the pollution front.

And BEV's are much, much more energy efficient once you have drained the onboard battery in your hybrid.

But Toyota has been making them work for over two decades now, and they help me reduce my "carbon shoe size" by a substantial amount.

Yep,

They will try and continue to snow the public.

But the general public is learning rapidly. When I give curious folks a ride in my Tesla they ask a lot of questions. A large percentage of my neighbors now drive BEV's.

Just an education process..

After all, Chevy tried with their plug-in hybrid, the Volt, but that got discontinued

The Volt was a stopgap measure. They had to address Tesla's rapid growth. You would have thought they learned a lesson with the popularity of the EV1.

By the way, the new Chevy Bolt arrives late this year. Will be interesting to see it hit the road with a totally new battery pack, drivetrain.
