Thank you all for responding to my question about Click Death problem. I think i got the opinion of almost all the well informed posters here. (yes. i watch you guys but i post rarely ;-)

I feel better knowing that the error rate of Zip drives is within the industry norms but i would be happier if IOM improves the quality and doesn't even give a chance to form a frustrated consumer group against them. I definitely won't feel happy if i lose my valuable data when(if) I start using Zip drive.

Thanks again esp Fred, Zead and Reseller. Now if only you guys can tell me when IOM will go up breaking new year highs ......... ;-)

Re: Zip Failures, Warranties, and Lawsuits

news.com

Details of the recent Class Action settlement.

based on the fact that ZIp sales growth is slowing alarmingly, Iomega must pay $650,000 in plaintiff legal fees in the above case, the other lawsuits pending against it, the warranty extension and resulting increase in expenses, etc.

I predict Iomega will miss their numbers by .02›, or make .07› for the 1 Q 1998.

Get out now.
