Haven't seen you around for awhile. <G> It may and may not be for management only. However the fall back today was only 9/16 from the previous close. Considering the NASDAQ and tech stocks in general were hit pretty hard I am not certain how much if any can be attributed to the Shareholder Rights Statement..

Good to hear from you

What comes first... the chicken or the egg??

Micron is a true SOX stock. If micron has a bad day the tech's usually do to. Generally they all follow the same pattern.

If Micron can move up from DRAM price increases or dumping charges etc.. then techs will do well.

What will Cymer do? Will it hold on better than before... it could.

Cymer will present at a semiconductor equipment conference on Friday, Feb. 20, at 9:45 and again at 11:40, at the Plaza Hotel in NYC.

The conference is sponsored by Semi-Invest Institute (I believe a research firm), and AMAT's CEO James Morgan will give the keynote address tomorrow at noon. The only other presentation I know of is ASMIF at 2:45 and again at 4:35 tomorrow.

This information was given to me over the phone one of ASM's marketing personnel.

If I get any more information, I'll post.

Regards,

Pat

Ken,
These poison pill tactics believe it or not are always put out by companies to stop the stock from being weak. It appears to me this was the last effort of management to say " hey the stock is real cheap and you can't steal it from us". This is a very common tactic on Wall street. Sometimes used to support the stock. Don't read too much into this. SPEEDY===============
