I hope you have done well on the S&P etc. In the UK you have to pay 20% VAT on Silver, not so on gold, so yes, I can see how the playing field is not level. I feel hesitant to say anything else, in case it gets interpreted as a scare tactic. I would just like to point out though. it wasn't me who was using scare tactics on all channels for the last 4 years (November 2019) years.
