Actually there is an employment force multiplier effect.

These jobs create other jobs in the communities that build new factories to build batteries, inverters. wind turbines, BEV's etc.

I run my house and car off my PV array. Including my heatpump (airconditioner).

Just photons converted into electrons. Absolutely no emissions.

Excess electrical power generation goes to the grid.

And a lot cheaper than an NG polluting furnace!

Sustainable for thousands and thousands of years...
