Bruce & Al,
In response to your post:
If anyone has GET/Win, I hope they try using the spread and let TTI (or Al & I) know if they get a GPF. At the moment, we're the only 2 people in the world with the problem and I somehow don't believe that. :-)

I figured since you guys had reported this problem, that it was being worked on, but I get a Dr. Watson crash if I put a spread in. I am using Windows NT.

I will let TTI know.

Harold

Hi, Bruce!

Received your e-mail regarding spreads and thought I'd answer over here since I just checked and see some of you have been carrying on a conversation regarding spread creation in GET WIN. Sorry I haven't been checking messages over here; just been too busy...

When I first started using GET WIN with spreads, I thought there was a problem, as GET WIN would not load up the spreads I had created in GET DOS. Even though the spread issues would show up in the Issues list on Searches, when I clicked on them, I would just get a blank screen or no response. I have not received any GPF's however in the use of spreads in GET WIN.

I use GETData and MetaStock data; I've created new spreads in GET WIN using all combinations of data and have had no problems with spreads. In fact, in my latest monthly newsletter, I had a spread chart on the front page, spreading the S&P Growth Index and the S&P Value Index.

I did complain to TTI about not being able to darken or thicken the line chart that you get when you create a spread, but that's a minor problem.

I'm not saying that there isn't a problem, but just that on my computer, I'm not experiencing the same problem that you are having. I have plenty of other problems to deal with, however... :D
