I imagine that you pretty well "pegged my itinery", very perceptive ( minus the business portion!) Dexx, I must admit the element of surprise is a very impactful tool! Your poetic skills ( in my opinion) have away of pinpointing a specific mood or situation---a very special talent!! If you can picture some of the stranger moments in Trains, Planes, and Automobiles----and for a moment picture John Candy snuggling up to Steve Martin then quickly sitting up and discussing Football, you have now got a good idea the types of transportation I will be using on this trip, as well as the accomodations that I may be expecting!! I will be travelling completely alone on this crusade-----the sole reason, to honour my parents in surviving the good and otherwise for 50 years of marriage!---I have no idea how they have achieved such an accomplishment!--it is beyond my comprehension!----If the words----- -------- " GIVE AND TAKE!!" ------are the answer then a GOLD MEDAL will be presented at the celebration!!!! ( I think that my Mom would get the larger portion!) My Dad is soon to be 83, lives by 3 ideals!!! ! Be Honest! ( No matter how bad the news!)----Help others that are less fortunate than yourself ( No matter what the reason!)----and "DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS!"--------it's not our job!!!!!-------Oh! Yes! This is only a guess , but if he was familiar with the S.I. and read some of the postings on various threads he might very well try to jump right through the screen! I have a hunch that my Dad would be sitting next to Dexx on his flight to the windy city to visit some friends!!!! HHMMMMmmmmm!!!!! Hey Dexx! Your not my Dad are you??? ( Consider it a compliment!). Taking your good thoughts with me!!

Then again, there are always grandchildren at these affairs? I'll have to give this some good thought, for family life can be a bit complicated and it's easy- for a common ordinary "head in the clouds Dad" to be pegged the middle-man. This story keeps getting me curiouser, & curiouser. Mean while, (at least i think).. I nailed the colour of the licorice down to black! -Tell your folks hello for me W.J.! However i do have a baby poem that used to hang off my Grandma's wall that i used to read as i looked at the picture behind it. That was when i was a kid, "peddeled off and dumped on her" countless weekends. (which i liked all right). We had pancakes. (Tell them this too) So "wee" a gift; Though Wealth of Many Lands Could Never Buy it in the Richest Marts. So "frail" a gift; And Yet Those Baby Hands Take Mighty Hold upon two Human Hearts.
