It follows that if everyone didn't pay tax, that would enhance individual prosperity and improve the economy no end. In reality, short falls are paid by the tax payer. Same with thieves that steal from a shop. In reality the produce is not "free" and everyone ends up paying for the difference. Some might say the shop keeper paid for the loss, or the insurance company... but in reality all that happens is prices and rates go up a little sooner then normal.
