Generally, when a Dr requests a liver panel you get HDL and total cholesterol
among other things so it might be in whatever lab reports you have.

I don't think I've ever seen just total cholesterol by itself as it's really not nearly
as helpful or telling alone. The devil is in the details as it were.

That's one of the good things about statins is that they raise HDL among other
things. Do you take Omega 3, that helps too.
