Perhaps CNN should read the pending settlement....

In my opinion, the vast majority of buyers in the under $1,000,000 range will be unable to afford a Buyer's agent. Buyer's agents would be prohibited from showing a home to a Buyer without a written agreement already in place.

My guess is that nothing will change other than some additional paperwork like a cooperating broker compensation agreement sent to Buyer's broker prior to any showing. Imagine going on a listing appointment and the Seller says, "What will you do for me?" The agent says, "Well I can't let any Buyer's Broker in which will reduce your exposure to potential Buyers down about 90%." So the seller agrees to pay the outside broker outside of MLS advertising parameters.
