Mr. 2,

I have some inside information as well, although, admittedly not quite as
good as your "creative" source. Keep taking those Sense-of-Humor pills
as they seem to be having some small effect. <VBG>

To All;

There has been some confusion regarding the Pilot Plant scenario both on
the thread and in my head. Now, after consulting with my source, I believe
I have it correct.

First, we are ordering equipment for one big plant and one lab sized plant.
If the big plant goes to Nye, Nevada, it will be called a 5 ton per day
plant. In California, if we are forced to locate there, the same facility
will be called a 1,000 pound per day plant because that's the size our
already existing California permit allows. Should the need arise there is
no reason we could not obtain a permit for bigger production rates.

Second, the large facility will be permitted in Nevada for 10,000 tons per
year or up to 40 tons per day, a level we easily could reach should we choose;
equally we could operate less than 5 tons per day as well, the point being
we will have a huge operating range and 5 tpd is mid-range in an initial
target production zone.

Third, the lab jockeys in Death Valley Junction will soon begin operating
a lab scale version of the Johnson Process gaining valuable in-house experience.
By acquiring a thorough working knowledge of the Johnson Process from assembly
to successful lab scale operation Naxos personnel will be much better prepared
to construct and configure the Pilot Plant and get it right the first time.

Dr. Johnson, who must have put together one or two of these things, also will
be available to assist and advise. From all that I have been able to gather
our relations with Dr. Johnson have been cordial and cooperative.

I was glad to learn that the company is examining ways of proving up the playa.
Getting a handle on the PM distribution profile coupled with an up and running
pilot plant constitutes Naxos' Holy Grail.

Let's see...now if we just had some knight...hmmmm...
