BFIT : In briefing.com it shows they report earning this Friday, and I don't know after or during trading hours.

Dave, BFIT reported this morning.

See biz.yahoo.com

For the year, basic loss per share was $1.51 vs. $2.04 (before extraordinary items). Including extraordinaries, loss was $2.88 vs. $1.58. Q4 was a $.01 loss vs. $.35 profit in Q4 '96. After extraordinaries, loss was $1.05 vs. a gain of $.81 last year.

The company's press release spins this like mad, but it doesn't look that great on the surface. They omit a balance sheet and cash flow statement from the release, so it's a bit tough to evaluate until they release the 10-K. Also, my guess is that comparable-store sales are flat to down, but they conveniently omit the store-count data, too.

I've been studying this for several months now, and still think it might be worth shorting. Will read the 10-K and make my decision. Your thoughts?

Regards,

CMason

>>Pancho, someone here said BFIT was reporting this week/next week. <<

Yes here it is. After a quick read I am shorting a lot more today. Just shorted some more at 251/8 and have a limit order at 257/16. IMO this puppy will fall like a rock in due time.
