Joe,

<< So you buy three SparQ cartridge's @ $100 (list) to get 3GB instead of buying two Syjet cartridges @ $160 (list) to get the same capacity. What would you do?>>

I'd obviously buy the SparQ cartridges. But let me start by saying that I have just begun to really look closely at this company and its products. What appears to be the case at first blush is that Syjet technology proceeded that of the SparQ. It looks like after releasing the Syjet, Syquest realized that they could build a better mousetrap in the form of the SparQ. Syjet customers are not left screwed; they purchased the best product available at the time. It still works well and the media is still readily available.

In a competitive world, you have to come out with the best product you can, when you can. Look what happened to IBM a few years ago when they tried to protect their mini computer installed base and drag their heels in maximizing the potential of the PC.

Again, at this point my observations are casual. You are clearly more knowledgeable about this company and its products than me.
