I didn't see any mention of availability. I believe you should be able to roam just as you did back when youhad an analog phone. Around Chicago, the only company that could sell this phone is Ameritech--they have a Clearpath CDMA system and, of course, the analog service. Clearpath has limited coverage, but my old Ameritech analog roamed anywhere and everywhere with no credit cards. The switch between CDMA and analogue occurs seamlessly--you will never know. I would guess that most 800 Mhz CDMA cellular systems are overlayed over major telcos old analogue systems, which means this phone should work anywhere.

Most of your questions need to be answered by the carrier, not QCOM.

Radioshack will probably not distribute this new Q phone because they do not sell (to my knowledge) for any of the 800 Mhz CDMA carriers (Ameritec, GTE, BAM, 360 Comm, Airtouch, etc). This also means that Primeco will not distribute the phone.

Most carriers put the phone through there own "certification" test prior to selling it, so again, the carriers will determine when it will be available.

The carriers will also determine the price point (but I expect it to be comparable to the 1900 Mhz Q, maybe a little more)

The need for a credit card is required when you roam on system that your carrier does not have a roaming agreement with. So again, this will be determined by the carrier you choose.

Billing will be done through the carrier you choose (except of course for those annoying credit card areas).
