Ms. Yiwu:

You bring up 3 very good points.... 2 relevant & one I am personally curious about:

1.) Historically, no Government that taxed its' people at a rate
greater than 33% has survived for very long.

2.) The fact that savings is encouraged in China, shows, IMO, that
both the Chinese Government & the people are taking the proper
position....forsake immediate gratification for bigger future
gains. In theory, (and in practice) that is what is supposed
to seperate humans from other animals. We can reason, and
understand the trade off between "consume now!" and "save for
better things in the future".

3.) ::off topic:: I have always wondered about something, but never
asked anyone who would really know. Is the Chinese food served
in America anything at all like Chinese food in China?
I truly enjoy Chinese food. Or what I know as Chinese food.

Please excuse me for asking such a trivial question. But the only
way I know to learn is to ask.

Regards,

Doug
