Why can't they? They can always make up a health issue for Biden. As long as Biden, the DNC and the vast majority of the electors agree, there are no legal laws in place to prevent the Democratic Party from changing candidates at the convention .

Has it ever been done when the President chose to run for the second term? The answer is they can’t go with someone else.

If Biden chooses to run, which he's stated he will, multiple times, and unless he croaks before the election, any attempt by the Dems to remove him (or Harris) from the ticket would implode the Party. He's already locked in enough delegates to guarantee his nomination.

The Dems are up Shit Creek without a paddle and they know it..

BTW, one sign of dementia, and I've seen it first hand, can be an unshakeable denial that one is suffering from it. If Biden thinks he in fine shape mentally, then it's end of story..
