I very much second your opinion that size (and thus speed) is much preferred to eye-candy. We're talking business here, not porn. Anyway, if it has to be "nice" graphics making up the site, at least make that graphics readable. A variable-size font is not good for tables. Why do you (Datek) HAVE to change anything. Leave the old site TRUE classic, then muck about with the new frames etc site for those who cares. You will soon enough see (by looking at your logfiles) which server the majority prefer. When I signed up, about a year ago, one of the triggers was a rumor that Datek would make a real time ticker available. Now such an animal takes one week to code (I know, I do this for a living), and is very resource friendly for the server - why not DO SOMETHING USEFUL with your time and money instead of fiddling about with some useless look-and-feel issues.
