You could crush and deposit the remains of PV's in my bedroom and I wouldn't be the slightest bit worried about pollution impacts from them on the floor of the room (conventional glass, silicon based cells).

CdTe panels from First Solar are a little bit different situation but I still wouldn't be worried.

As long as they were not on my bed..
