He was a democrat until GFC then switch. He picks a party that suits him because he knows he has no chance as an independent and also the party machine takes on the promotion work which tends to be very expensive for the independents opensecrets.org That reminds me, I am very surprised Elon Musk will vote Republican because his EV agenda fits the Democratic Agenda. Then again, Twitter freedom of speech aligns with Republican Party, Twitter is probably his main interest now.
