Arguably Nato needs to step up having encouraged Ukraine to go up against the Russians. I remain agnostic on outcome and shall likely remain agnostic until 20 years after the current war is done-done.

Sorry to contradict was thinking you will be coming up with some more creative ideas. If Ukraine falls who will be the next? The concept dreamed up by the leading team in the Kremlin is to rebuild the USSR at a minimum. You may disagree and that is fine but with me by knowing the Russian mentality from personal contacts with Russians and exchanging non-political views with them I definitely disagree with your assertion also today. I had high ranking Russian Officials that retired as my guest, and happen that all went very smooth and nice until we touched political issues, so I avoided those issue. Not enough that they where in my apartment for free going to the sea daily or driving them to their Christian Holly places near the lake of Galilee, they came a year later with claims that because they have the Israeli Stamp on their passport they need to take out a new passport to visit Gulf States. - and this of course was my fault. Their perception of being better than the rest of us is giving them the feeling of superiority when in fact they are as anyone else. This feeling of superiority over ALL is the root cause of their problems and peace will be only when they will accept that all are more or less equals in smarts and stupidity.
