I am sure that you can trade anything. I've never questioned that and as I said there's a lot of positives in your choice of only trading the index.

But here's the point that I was making. I just woke up. I look at my portfolio and 2/3 are down, some substantially. But my portfolio is actually up. And I'm still 30% cash to take advantage of opportunities.

This would not be the case if if all I was holding overnight was NQ. I would have to be up watching it.

Here's my top and bottom performers. The top happen to large and medium positions. The bottom are mostly token to smallish-medium positions. In the losers column, only GRN is an average position. You have to move to the 13th place to find an above average position. The top half of the losers are entirely token positions.

As the PNL accumulates, losers are closed and winners are added to. For example, my FLGC position is much reduced because it had a drop recently. GOEV was a real position but now it is a single share token (I think I said when I took profits). This is not unlike how the indexes manage to outperform the fund managers.

Edit and below are my top 10 holdings - i.e all are well above average position. Notice a pattern in the winners vs the losers?

Until a couple of days ago, JNUG and GUSH were in my top 10 positions. So the above list would have been almost fully green if I had not jumped the gun and taken profits on them. But can't win them all.
