The thing most people don't realize about trading for a living is that it is a grind. It's like those poker players in "Rounders." You're not in it for the thrill of victory, to quote a line from that movie. You're in it for money.

If it's a part-time gig, like those stay at home women in Japan who trade on the side, it's far less monotonous.

I suppose. But, the mindset between day trading and position/swing trading is very different. I'm not sure if I could do it.
