It was apparent from the fact they lined them all up during the runup to the election, and none of the trials to date have had enough for a legitimate indictment, so you have Tish James, Fani Willis, and Alvin Bragg as key players -- utterly incompetent individuals all of them, going to trial with the weakest cases imaginable. Add the absurd "rape" trial on top of it. Where the statute of limitations had to be subjected to a one-time exception for Trump, the incident was clearly something she saw on Law & Order SVU back in 2011, right down to which floor of the store it allegedly occurred on, an utterly absurd scenario (an entire floor of a department store with NOT ONE PERSON ON IT, with boxes of merchandise allegedly sitting out on counters, unmonitored by cameras and no one in the store to witness an alleged assault in dressing room?) Absurd. The store would have been civilly liable for setting up a situation like that for a woman to be raped. Even in NY, where 93% of people hate Trump, two refused to agree to the rape charge, after which the judge essentially said that's not an option, I say it was rape so I don't give a damn what the jury said. All this stuff is setup. No rational person could suggest these are legitimate cases, and many Dems have given up on any legal rationale and now concluded they don't care about that, they just want him in prison (Jack Smith had made clear that is his view). While some gave Jack Smith's case a chance early on, it now appears to be falling apart as well. This is one of the more shameful moments I can recall in my lifetime in regard to America as a democratic form of government. Hopefully, it will be somehow be recovered.
